Biography
Vanessa Putnam is a harpist who has worked for years across the East Coast. She primarily serves Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York, but travels to other locations by request!
She started performing at weddings and events in high school and fell in love with helping couples and event organizers achieve their ideal music vision. She has played at many venues, most recently Park Château Estate and Gardens, Legacy Castle, The Grove, Elkins Estate, and Cairnwood Estate.
Vanessa Putnam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with her Bachelor's in Harp Performance and received her Masters of Music degree from James Madison University in Harp Performance. As a teacher, she maintains both a thriving private studio and is on the harp faculty at Settlement Music School. She also works as Assistant Director of the HRHF Summer Institute and Festival and is an adjudicator for Maryland's All State auditions and Solo and Ensemble.
As a classical performer, she has recently been a guest artist with the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber players, performed with the Long Island Symphony Orchestra, and at chamber concerts. As a harp ensemble arranger, she has had her works performed by UT Austin, the Young Artist Harp Seminar, James Madison University, and several other programs.
